Problem:
The Sametime server, when configured for LDAP, stores and recognizes user names
stored in LDAP format. For example:
cn=Test User, ou=Corp, o=Acme .
If a name appears in the format, Test User/Corp/Acme, the Sametime server does
not consider this the same user. Domino names use a forward slash delimiter
whereas the LDAP names use a comma; hence, the name will not appear online.
In the Domino Web Access (DWA) chat applet (click the Chat link on the DWA
action bar) if the names are selected from the Directory button and added, DWA
will bring up the Domino Directory from the server that DWA is running on. It
does not check to see that Sametime is configured for LDAP. This causes the
names to be added in Domino hierarchical name format.
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering, and has been addressed in
Domino Web Access 6.5.3.

SPR# CLYH5UYQRE - Fixed a problem where the Directory button in the chat applet
did not check the directory type.
As a workaround, enter the names flat instead of selecting them from the
Directory button.
Example of a flat name: Test User More >
